Websites, School, and Work-life Balance
Owen Wilson’s “Wow!” I have so many good things going on in my life right now. I’m learning and building the business infrastructure for my art career, back in school full-time pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Business with a concentration in Marketing, and teaching more at the Durham Arts Council. I’m incredibly thankful for all of these opportunities, but they definitely take time on top of maintaining a healthy work-life balance.
Website building is not my forte, and I knew my site needed to be done better so I could market my work more effectively. So, I hired a patient and amazing web designer. She is great at what she does, but for her to be successful, I need to provide her with good photos and strong copy—which has been difficult to focus on while also prioritizing the development of my business and keeping up with school.
I really enjoy learning, and I’m excited for the point when the website is finished and I can finally shift my focus toward promoting it and getting my work out there more. There’s a lot happening, but I’m grateful to be building something work while.
